Heroism in a simple way :)

When we hear the word Hero, what comes up to our minds? We think of the heroes of our Country which we called National Heroes like Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio and etc.

When we are kids we believe that our heroes are Cartoon Characters like Tom and Jerry, Garfield, Phineas and Ferb, and etc.

But now my mind widely opened, after then I knew who is a true hero. I define Hero as a person that has Courage and ability to do good things for himself/herself or for the good of others. Nowadays, many heroes are now living. We might not know who exactly he/she was. We might not know what exactly he/she did to be a hero.

But for me, my parents are my Hero.

Why?

Because, I appreciate the help and support that they have done to us every day and every time we need help. They sacrifice their own money to buy me books for this school year. They sacrifice their good night sleep to wake early in the morning to prepare us for school, and to prepare my "baon". My dad leaves the country to work abroad, to send us money; he works very hard to have high salary, for me and my brother to continue school. I know it’s hard not to see my dad for a couple of months or years, but it’s okay, because, he works hard on abroad for our own good. They encourage us to achieve high grades.

Even though I got 78%-83% of my grades, my dad sends me awesome gifts like an iPod Touch, PS2 and a Rock Band Set.

Even though I am naughty at school. Even though I was scolded everyday by my teachers. Receive Referral Slips, ADR’s. I still study hard to pay all the sacrifice my mom and my dad that have done to us. My parents are my inspiration to finish high school, and to graduate college. I will finish my Studies to pay their sacrifices and hard works that have been done for us.

I love my parents so much. I thank God for giving me Parents like them. :)

For you, what is a hero and who is your hero? :)
